Conservation Areas Now Open

Posted: May 27, 2020

Saugeen Conservation is pleased to announce that their Conservation Areas are now open.
This includes all day-use areas), as well as the campgrounds (for seasonal camping only - in particular for those with self-contained units as the facilities remain closed at this time).

The Day-Use areas that are now open include:

  • Sulphur Spring Conservation Area
  • Allan Park Conservation Area
  • Stoney Island Conservation Area
  • Kinghurst Conservation Area
  • Bell's Lake Management Unit

Please note that the Mildmay/Carrick Managed Forest area will remain closed for safety reasons as staff have not had the chance to remove dead-falls, etc.

The following Campgrounds will be open to SEASONAL campers only:

  • Durham Conservation Area
  • Saugeen Bluffs Conservation Area
  • Brucedale Conservation Area
  • Denny's Dam Conservation Area

Please note, once again, however, that facilities WILL NOT be open, including washrooms, picnic shelters, activity centres and playgrounds.

We will be sure to provide updates throughout the week. Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding.
