Forestry

There are two divisions within this department:

1) Saugeen Conservation's Forestry Services

Within this division, staff are involved with managing over 8,000 ha of authority owned property. In so doing, staff follow a rigid guideline called a Forest Management Plan by which to manage these lands in a professional and skilled manner. 

 

 

This plan was put together by authority staff, and Directors, as well as input from the general public.

2) The Grey Bruce Forestry Service

In 1996, the forestry departments from both Saugeen and Grey Sauble Conservation Authorities combined to form the Grey Bruce Forestry Service.  Under this division, staff provide a wide-range of forestry services for the general public including:

            c) vegetation control                           d) tree sales
