Varney Conservation Area is a small, roadside park located off Hwy #6 south of the Town of Durham in the small hamlet of Varney. See property map here.
There is no cost to use the park.
This is a perfect stop for a picnic or just to stretch your legs if travelling up to the Owen Sound area.
Reminiscent of the old days, it is one of the few day-use areas remaining that provides swimming from an on-site pond.
Note: Swim at your own risk. This is a non-supervised park.
